I am 25 and 5'5" tall weighing around 150lbs, the large I ordered was an appropriate size but for me the fit was a little awkward. I think is was the length. As soon as I tried it on though I was warm. This jacket in my belief is made for shoppers in cold climates. Being a down jacket was very comforting and not bulky like I had anticipated. If your looking for something to keep you toasty warm from the head to the legs this is the jacket for you. The gray color was beautiful as well.
I had been wanting a long down coat for some time. We live on the coast so our winters don't last that long so when I found Free Country and the low price of their coats, I couldn't pass up the opportunity! Since purchasing my first coat, I have become such a fan!! My husband and our 3 grown sons are all fans as well!! We each have 2-3 Free Country coats each. The quality is excellent. These are truly the best coats ever!! Much better than the more expensive name brands! Some do run a little large but if you follow the size chart, you should be good!!
I wanted a jacket that was warm and kept the wind from penetrating. I also wanted a heavy coat that I did not have to worry about the feathers flying out of it. The color is truly a "royal" purple, and fit for a queen.
LOVE this jacket.! Size was accurate, warmth is fantastic in Northeast weather, cost was very reasonable, weight of coat allows movement with ease, comfortable even in a car due to two-way zipper, and style is modern without the bulk. I really like the extra warm and wind resistance provided by the fabric in sleeves! The hood even fits my head perfectly! Fantastic find..!!
I've been wanting a dark gray down parka. This one is a nice color and has great outer fabric, heavier than many down coats. The fit is nice although I needed a large when I usually wear a medium in a women's size. I haven't worn it in cold weather yet but it seems like its heavy and has enough down. I love the quilting and slimming shape.
