FREE COUNTRY RE-LAUNCHES NEW "LIVE IN IT" HOLIDAY CAMPAIGN
Click to view Free Country TV Commercial New York, NY -- September 2007: There's just something about the sound of a zipper that signals the arrival of cold weather, functionality and the outdoor fun that comes with it. Free Country, the men's, women's and children's outerwear brand, takes full advantage of this subliminal tool in their spirited holiday advertising campaign, which includes print, tv and outdoor advertising. The TV spot opens with the unmistakable sound of zippers closing as our Free Country "tribe" of 5 head out for a day of fun in the great outdoors. Filmed on the top of Snowbird Mountain, just outside Salt Lake City, Utah and directed by Patrick Van Hautem, the 30-second spot is called "Free Country, Live in It" and will air on cable networks in select markets including MTV, TBS, E!, A&E, CNN, Comedy Central, Bravo, TLC, FX, Lifetime, HGTV and ESPN, among others. The brand's website, www.freecountry.com, will also feature the new "Free Country, Live in It" television commercial. Free Country will also be showing its TV commercial in various elevators in the Garment Center area in Manhattan and in Movie Theatres in the NY Metro Area during previews. The outdoor component of the campaign features a 48-ft high by 48-ft. wide mesh wallscape located at 40th Street and 7th Avenue in the heart of the Garment District in Manhattan. While the broadcast spot focuses on the active face of the brand, the wallscape features a close-up shot of one of the models in goggles wearing a Free Country jacket, which is now one of the infamous Free Country images from the campaign. The print portion of the campaign consists of an advertorial spread in the leading Men's trade magazine, DNR, as well as some advertising in various leading consumer fashion magazines. Since its introduction in 1990, Free Country has emerged as a leading lifestyle brand for casual outerwear and activewear. Under the direction of founder Ira Schwartz, the company manufactures and markets men's, ladies' and children's collections that are notable for their fashionable and functional looks with exceptional value. Combining authentic performance features with trend-right design, Free Country has become a favorite with consumers and retailers alike, with distribution extending from department stores to better specialty chains, urban fashion retailers, sporting goods dealers and performance apparel catalogs. |
